"I'M WHO I AM"
Beneath a large bed of dark, untamed hair encases the unruly imagination of Sheena Ubungen.
TIMELINE:
1989: One important thing I remember about Kindergarten, was when my teacher asked the class to paint 6 things. I painted a tree, a house, a flower, some grass, a sun and some clouds. 6 "things" that would create a fancy picture. Very pleased with how things turned out, I turn to my peers and noticed that everyone else painted 6 shapes. I was quite confused as to why some kids were concerned with my painting. I clearly painted 6 things and received my sticker for completing my assignment. Sure, some kids made fun of me for not "understanding", but I took it as my ability to go above and beyond what I was asked to do.
1995: I participated in a play called "The Safety Kids" that promotes youth to "get their highs naturally, not chemically" and to learn how to "standup to peer pressure and stay safe from drugs." I was required to sing a little number called, " Everyone Needs to Find Love" in front of the whole school and their families. Though performing on stage is not my calling, I had a great time, learned a bunch, and was able to be involved in group that had an imporant message to share.
